With the onset of Covid 19 here in the states, I wanted to help as much as I could. I was truly shocked to learn how much of a PPE shortage we had and with my former work life in manufacturing, I knew it would take months for domestic production to ramp up and fill the demand. 

In my home, I have the machines, the fabric and ability to make masks, so I felt the calling and had to act.

You mentioned a group that your involved in here and now your making healthcare gowns. Tell me about the group!

I teach classes occasionally at Sew to Speak in Worthington and Anita Gastaldo, the owner, asked me if I would help the reusable gowns primarily for EMS works. She is working with an incredible grass roots team with Ohio Saves A Hero which is raising money to masks, shields and gowns. All of the money goes to the PPE supplies and depends on hundreds of volunteers to sew, assemble, and deliver all over our great state.
