Need a personalized gift for any occasion? Look no further than Jen Serra of Jen's Crafty Corner. From business stickers to popsockets to bags to mugs to the perfect teacher's gifts, Jen has you covered. We love working with her and are in awe of how she balances running her husband's dental practice, being a mom to her three active boys and having the most amazing turnaround time for her personalized items. Here's a bit more about Jen...
Occupation: By day I run a dental practice with Ryan. By night, I craft with my business Jen's Crafty Corner.
My Family: All my men. My awesome husband Ryan and boys Charlie (8), Alex (7), and Owen (3). I am also mama to my boy pekingese, Mitch, rescue boy cat, Mako, and Fair Fish (he's lived 8+ months!), Bob.
Favorite Quote: If you want to be happy, be. - Leo Tolstoy
Beach or Mountains: Mountains! This red-headed, freckled gal only turns one color at the beach.I spent an unforgettable summer in Glacier National Park and have been chasing crisp air and clear skies ever since.
Favorite Meal: I'd like to say is BBQ ribs (Texas Style), corn on the cob and a great pie, but my kids will likely say its my Cocoa Krispies cereal obsession. Even marrying a dentist couldn't stop my life long love of the sugary chocolate snap crackle pop.
Pet Peeve: Being late. Running behind. Taking forever to reply to an email. Having three boys has taught me to have grace for myself and others when it comes to being late, but it still drives me batty.
My Escape: My craft studio. I can be creative, make beautiful mistakes and crank up my 70 and 80's tunes. I exercise a side of my brain that hasn't gotten much use since becoming a mom. Being able to tap into and create meaningful pieces for others makes my heart happy.
Favorite Hidden Spot in Town: Mozart's Cafe. The pastries and desserts are to die for. The live piano plays any time I'm there, day or night. It's often our date night dessert stop after an evening out.
Advice on Success: Wow. Such a challenging word to define. My definition has changed as I've grown. For me, the best advice I've been given and can give is to notice and celebrate the small successes. If you keep waiting for the BIG success (promotion, house, dollar amount)? you are going to miss out on so much. In my season of life, the success today might be just taking a shower or meeting my water intake goal. Tomorrow's success might be getting caught up on all my orders or getting all the boys asleep before 8. Take pride and joy in the small successes and those will snowball you toward your larger goals and fill you heart with peace.
Favorite HRK Piece: Meredith created really meaningful pieces from family beads. I love being able to wear these custom earrings and bracelets and be reminded of loved ones.
